#21 - Grace

I think the most important trait of a great entrepreneur, next to the ability to dream, is grace. Grace is what makes you have billions of dollars, like Jeff Skol and his beautiful girlfriend Paige, yet sit so comfortably on a bench among villagers in a third world country as if it were home to them. Grace is what makes someone like Bono think up the idea of Product RED, or what made my mom forgive the two men that broke her heart so my brother, sisters and I could feel like we are part of a family. Grace made me sit here today for five hours and help a friend who had let me down so many times because he needed it, and forgive someone who once ruined my life because it was easier than working harder than I did. Grace is what you share above all in your work and life, because you know nothing is worth being rich, right or important enough than what you’re about and what you give. I grew up around strong, determined and succesful people who have and are making an impact on the world, but what I am most thankful for is the grace they passed down to their kids.
